Sigma 18-35 EF versus FX

This a comment for this page on the website
Hello,
I wonder why Sigma 18-35 does not perform as well with D5300 as with EOS 700D?
Usually, same lens perfoms better with D5300 24 mpx sensor...
Thank you very much for your help. Regards, Stephane

The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can't have them

Hi Stephane,

Here is the comparison between the Nikon D5300 and the Canon EOS 700D :
http://www.dxomark.com/Lenses/Compare/Side-by-side/Sigma-18-35mm-F18-DC-HSM-A-Nikon-on-Nikon-D5300-versus-Sigma-18-35mm-F18-DC-HSM-A-Canon-on-Canon-EOS-700D___1140_919_1141_870

As you will notice, the D5300 scores significantly higher.

Best regards.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your answer. Unfortunately, when looking deeper, it appears that sharpness is a little bit better on EOS 700 D than on D5300.
So, I wonder why a better sensor produces less sharpness.
May the 18-35 be optimized for Canon and less for Nikon?
Regards, Stephane
