This a comment for this page on the website
The Sony NEX-C3 score lower than other cameras using the same sensor, e.g., Nikon D7000, Nikon D5100 and the Pentax K-5.  Sony has some ways to go before it can compete with Nikon, Canon and Pentax.

Did you read the full review?

"The scores say no, but our measurements loudly say yes, this is the same sensor but it has been tuned differently:
Strangely, the lowest ISO available on the NEX C3 is a mere ISO 200, this limitation does not allow the user to take full advantage of the built characteristics of this sensor in Low-ISO.
Not being able to go further down than ISO 200 explains the difference in scores as far as dynamic range and color sensitivity are concerned."

Actually You're comparing a compact size camera with a DLSR ! You just forget to mention that The Sony a580 (which has also the same sensor) achieved 80 score ! What a pity!

That's correct. The Sony A580 is as good as the Nikon/Pentax as far as sensor score goes.

I'm still shocked by the C3's performance...why does the dynamic range drop so greatly without a prism etc.? Don't know if the ISO200 limitation has anything to do with it.

Why do you say they have the same sensor?
dxomark cites resolution as 4992 x 3284 for pentax and 4928 x 3280 for sony.
and even in case of same matrix is the same, analog frontend and ADC may be completely different

Also, the NEX has *lossy* RAW compression.
On other hand, it is strange that crippled camera is not far behind.

Of course the ISO limitaion is the reason. You can easily see this when you look at the graphic comparing the mentioned cameras.
