October 2012 will start tomorrow but still not one single lens tested with the Nikon D800(E) (when in the meantime plenty were tested with the Nikon D4) and still no answer or explanation from anyone at DXO ...

Don't tell me that we'll see lenses tested with the Nikon D600 before the Nikon D800???

Probably bec those lenses are not good enough to show any improvement in resolution on more dense D800(E)!

Dude, let them test some more camera sensors before they get back to lenses. Also, a whole bunch of Pentax lenses seem to be stuck in preview limbo, so your complaint that your favourite lenses haven't been tested with the latest bodies seems a bit disproportionate when lots of lenses haven't been tested at all...

In addition to adding D800 tests - which would seem to be more relevant to more people than D3X tests - can we also beg for testing of the Nikon 14-24 f/2.8 and 24-70 f/2.8 and 70-200 f/2.8 VRII lenses???  I can't understand why none of the current "holy Trinity" has been tested and I am wondering how much more I would gain in comparison to some of the lenses I have.

Hello, I have sought analysis camera-lens assembly but find no combination with the Nikon D800 but other newer cameras. Why? either the nikkor 14-24!
None nikkor lens is good enough for 36 mp?
disappointment for users and commitment to nikon.
while I doubt the impartiality of certain forums and websites

Update January 2nd, 2013

The "amazing" Tamron AF 28-300mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di VC LD Aspherical [IF] Macro (2007 model) is the ONLY lens tested with the D800 to date. As the D800 was announced on February 7th, 2012 maybe one full year after there still will be only 1 lens tested (and what a lens, THE one everyone was expecting to be tested with the D800, of course)? I'll keep you posted here.

Update Feb. 6, 2013 (NIKON D800 was announced Feb. 7, 2012 i.e. 1 year ago)

As there is still no answer from DXO, I looked at the situation as of today for various makes/models

NIKON D800        07/02/2012   1
PENTAX K-01       02/02/2012   0
PENTAX K-30       22/05/2012   0
PENTAX K-5        20/09/2010   14
PENTAX K-5II      11/09/2012   0
PENTAX K-r        09/10/2010   0
SONY A33          24/08/2010   0
SONY A35          08/06/2011   0
SONY A55          24/08/2010   0
SONY A57          12/03/2012   0
SONY A65          24/08/2011   0
SONY A77          24/08/2011   0
SONY A99          12/09/2012   0

1 - Could it be that there is a correlation with the fact that camera makers are lending or not Huh

2 - Could it be that NIKON is deliberately NOT lending any D800 for testing Huh afraid/already know that some lenses will give bad results due to too high resolution (I'm thinking about the 24-70mm/f2.8 here which I don't find very good with a D800) Huh

Complete lack of answer from DXO is leading to these (stupid) questions ...

Hello,

Sorry for the late answer.

Actually the results with Nikon D800 are not ready yet. We are working on it and try to deliver a very exhaustive database which will be normally available in the end of February or in March.

Hope it is not too long to wait!

Best regards,

Emilie

Why does DXOmark have to wait for all lenses to be tested for the D800 before they are shown?  Can't you post lens results as you test them.  Over a year it has been!  Come on guys, quit dicking around!  I'm not buying any dxo products until they get their shit together.
If you need a D800 soooo bad to test, I'll consider lending mine(more likely to happen than them posting test results within this year!)
Their procrastination is a F'ing joke! Angry

And I don't consider old shitty Tamron and Sigma lenses part of the wanted lens group.  What would even possess you to think we would want the Tamron AF 28-300mm to be first tested...?  I'm not an expert analyzer, but I have common sense.  And what DXOmark is doing here doesn't make any sense!

Thanks to the DXO team for the comprehensive results posted on March 13th, 2013 i.e. more than 1 year after original announcement.

One by one publishing would have been better though...

Cheers
